The JM medical recruitment team consists of two incredible women, Sarah Crimmins and Emily Kelley, who have years of experience in the medical field. They are not just knowledgeable; they are dedicated to finding top medical experts to support our clients’ needs. Sarah Crimmins, Director of Expert Recruiting & Development 

Q: How and why did you choose JM? 

A: I was invited to join Juris Medicus by our founder, Dr. Gilbert Meadows, upon his retirement from private practice as a spinal surgeon in December 2017. I worked as Dr. Meadows’ Clinical Coordinator/Registered Nurse for 25 years. Unlike Dr. Meadows, I was not ready to retire from my professional career at that time. Dr. Meadows felt my nursing background and work acumen would serve JM well as a development officer in the areas of both client and medical expert development.

Q: What do you like most about your specific department and/or role?

A: I really enjoy the fact that every day at JM is a new beginning. Our expert needs can fluctuate given the types of cases coming in. We may have a medical expert in a requested specialty, but the ideal geography is somewhere other than what we can currently offer. In this scenario, it is my responsibility to get to work doing all that I can to deliver for the client’s needs. When that happens, it’s fun to know that we have been instrumental in finding a “unicorn” expert for a case.

Q: What do you think sets JM apart from competitors or other companies?

A: I truly feel that we lead the industry with respect to employees who provide the very best support and service. This is both for our clients and the experts we have the honor of working with.

Q: How do JM’s core values align with your own?

A: I consider myself a servant leader in many aspects of my life. Positive collaboration is also something I like to contribute to. Given these traits, I would say that I strongly identify with the principles of “Humble Confidence” and “Operate as One”. 

Q: If you were a client, what would you find most valuable about the process at JM? 

A: Given that I’ve heard the feedback firsthand, I would say that many of our clients appreciate the available pre-case consulting opportunities with our team of nursing specialists to help them determine and navigate their expert needs.

Emily Kelley, Expert Recruitment Specialist

Q: How and why did you choose JM?  

A: I was introduced to Juris Medicus by Sarah back in 2014. I was a full-time middle school nurse, and I started working as a chronologist on the side. I came back in 2020 to assist Sarah with expert recruitment tasks, and in June 2022, I was welcomed full-time as an expert recruitment specialist.  

Q: What do you like most about your specific department and/or role? 

A: I love working with Sarah! We work together like a well-oiled machine. She and I are like-minded, which I am sure stems from our nursing education at UTHSCSA and our training and working together in the operating room. I also enjoy getting to know the experts. Not only are they technically skilled, intelligent, and impressive on paper—they are excellent people with kind hearts.  

Q: What accomplishments at JM are you most proud of?

A: I am most proud of our collaboration and teamwork when an expert is needed for a case that isn’t represented on our panel. There is such satisfaction in finding the appropriate expert and fulfilling the needs of the client. I love it when everything comes together and it is a win-win!

Q: What do you think sets JM apart from competitors or other companies? 

A: I believe that the caliber of our expert panel combined with the administrative support and customer service we provide sets us above our competitors!

Q: If you were a client, what would you find most valuable about the process at JM? 

A: If I was a client, I would find the JM experts panel to be exemplary and the customer service to be top-notch. Being able to connect with a case manager or account executive to express my needs for a case and knowing they have access to such a robust and diverse panel would ensure my continued business. Also knowing that there are nursing professionals available for consultation is an added value. JM is responsive, professional, and willing to go the extra mile if needed.
