At Juris Medicus, the Expert Liaison department works very closely with our panel of medical experts and represents an essential step in our process of sending cases to experts. Vanessa Lopez does an extraordinary job as an expert liaison. She is a respected colleague who is always happy to help the team and our experts.

Q: How did you find and why did you choose JM? 

A: I found JM through a family friend, Erin Saenz. She referred me because of my nursing background. After researching the work that JM is affiliated with, I became very interested in how the medical and legal fields overlap. I felt as though my background could really help in becoming a part of the JM workforce.

Q: How and why did you get into this industry? 

A: I got into this industry through my medical background. I previously was an LVN (licensed vocational nurse) at a psychiatric state hospital. Having a medical background helps correlate between the medical work at JM.   

Q: What do you like most about specific department and/or role?

A: My department interacts directly with the medical experts. I like this aspect because of my nursing background, it is an essential job function that I have experience with. I also really enjoy working with my team partner. We always honor the relationship between us both and work very efficiently. Expert Liaison is the final step in sending a case to the expert, which is a very important process. I am proud to be a part of this department.

Q: What accomplishments at JM are you most proud of?

A: The accomplishment I am most proud of at JM is being promoted from administrative assistant to the expert liaison department. I think this promotion shows my hard work and dedication to this company and shows that there is space for growth at JM.
